Hugh began working in film on the other side of the camera when at the age of 9 he appeared opposite Liam Neeson in the film ‘Lamb’. Since then, Hugh has acted in many films including ‘My Left Foot’ and ‘Chocolat’.  In 2008 Hugh directed the short film ‘Spacemen Three’ which stars Pat Shortt, Michael McElhatton and Peter McDonald and in 2009 honed his style again with his Signatures short ‘Corduroy’, a visually bold piece combined with sensitive character direction.  ‘Corduroy’ has recently been accepted into the prestigious Berlin Film Festival. Hugh is a very keen stills photographer with an incredible eye. His first solo exhibition last year was a huge success. Having recently completed a series of TV commercials for O’Brien’s sandwich bars with Rachel Allen, Hugh is continuing to direct more commercials with Sweet Media in the early part of 2010.
